Synopsis

JURASSIC Park is a classic film that was released in 1993. Despite being 27 years old, this film still has a place in the hearts of moviegoers around the world.

Jurassic Park even re-screened in the United States in June 2020 and dominated the box office in the land of Uncle Sam. The film was screened in 230 theaters from 19-21 June 2020 and earned USD 517,600 or equivalent to Rp. 7.3 billion.

This film is a masterpiece of Steven Spielberg. This 127-minute science fiction film successfully won 3 Academy Awards or Oscars in 1994.

Jurassic Park is about two dinosaur experts, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Satler (Laura Dern). They are invited by an eccentric millionaire, John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), to see his new park on an island off the coast of Costa Rica.

By cloning DNA from prehistoric fossils, Hammond managed to bring dinosaurs back to life. In his vast land, Hammond kept brachiosaurus, dilophosaurus, triceratops, velociraptors to tyrannosaur rex.

On their visit to Jurassic Park, the two doctors are accompanied by Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) who is obsessed with chaos theory and Hammond’s two grandchildren, Tim and Lex (Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards).

But problems arise when a tropical storm hits the island, destroying electricity. Plus, an employee, Nedry (Wayne Knight), sabotages the system in order to get the dinosaurs out of Jurassic Park.

The dinosaurs started to rampage out of control. Grant must get Hammond’s grandson to safety when the dinosaurs begin to attack.

The film received a rating of 8.1/10 from 835,010 rating on IMDb. Satisfactory scores were also obtained from 127 film critics on Rottentomatoes with a score of 91 percent or in the ‘fresh’ category.

Jurassic Park was made at a cost of USD 63 million and managed to reap a fantastic income of USD 1 billion.
