When it comes to my children's well being, no obstacle is difficult enough to keep me from trying.
When I was flat broke....
Trying to juggle full time work and full time school....
when i was a teen i spent a year in the hospital and in rehab and wouldn't give up catching up with my friends in school and ended up graduating with my class
While in high school made the decision to "drop out" of high school, realized I made a big mistake and "dropped back in" and worked hard versus going out and partying to catch up and graduate on time.
Also after school working full time and going to school full time.........a major challenge even questioning many times, but failure was not an option.
I did graduate on time....
It's my 12th grade year, i joined some clubs, finished my credits and everything was set..except my FCAT. I failed the Reading FCAT which held me back from recieving my diploma. I did walk with my class becasue, i felt i deserve to in a way.This was the most diffcult stage i have had so far in my life but i didn't want it stop my from my goals. During that summer, i thought about what i needed to do to start my college life. I ended up aiming for my GED. I took all the classes and all the hours at the nearest high school passed the GED program. I then started to studied for the actual GED..i passed!! My highest score believe it or not was in reading. Now i'm starting college and it feels great!(:
When it was the 2nd attempt at the final exam in the college year for Maths major.
I work with mostly all men some of them want me to fail because I am a women doing a mans job.Makes me work that much harder
When I really want to achieve something amazing to help inspire my daughter.
When I lost my job and still had to find a way to raise my kid and pay the bills.
I was living with my abusive boyfriend, after a year, we got in a fight and I came home to another girl in my bed, packed up my stuff and left him. He told me I would never amount to anything and never be able to live on my own, without him. This was in June. Now, In August, I have a great career in the healthcare industry making twice as much as he made, my own place, and reached a level of happiness and independence that I never thought I would. He has since been arrested again for domestic violence against the new girlfriend and I have had to take them both to court for restraining orders, something I never thought I would ever have to do. Sitting in that court room last week, looking at them, was the best feeling in the world, just knowing how much better off I am now.
Trying to be a good wife, mother, grandmother and sibling despite my own personal struggles.

Finishing college was a goal I was determined to complete in the face of extreme fear. And I did it!
