When an injury to my dominant hand forced me to give up a competitive sport that I loved. I wanted to end on my own terms - so I trained myself to play with the other hand and managed to play varsity that way for one final season.
The head volleyball coach had it out for me because of an old problem she had with my mom. I was determined to get on the team and show her my abilities. She refused to let me on the team even though I was better than most of the girls on the team. After a talk with the head of athletics, I refused to join the team that year. The following year I tried again, to prove that I deserved to be on the team. Again, the coach held a past grudge with my mom against me. But she couldn't keep me off the team due to eyes being on her so I got stuck on what she thought was the misfit team. Our team won all our matches, annihilating some of the competition. When we competed against her precious varsity team, we beat the crud out of them too and they had two boys on their team.
After being refused admission into a college that I thought was a sure thing.

I had a hard time in a music class and when I spoke to the teacher about it, he basically said he couldn't help me because it was my fault I didn't understand his teaching. I hated the man, but I worked hard to get an A. I still didn't understand him at all, but I guess that wasn't important.
