I would join the Citizens on patrol in Orlando Florida. My dad is a part of it and so far vandalism and public disturbances have gone down.

I would report crime, nuisances and other noncriminal problems promptly. Make a list of the names and phone numbers of every neighbor.
I would patrol constantly and develop a way that I can notice the cops and the neighbors without raising any alarms so the burglars won't have a chance to escape.

I would get all the moms in neighborhood and use them as my personal neighborhood watch army, because no one wants to mess with a pissed off concerned mom, especially if it's more than one.

Adding cameras, and...this is a big one considering it's Central Florida...making sure the proper procedures/guidelines were in place in case any conflict ever came up.

I would add cameras on every street corner and more security gates would be put in front of neighborhoods to ensure no outsider gets in without an invite. Even with all the technology, the people of our own neighborhoods still need to be on the look out and the police can always be reached if anything suspicious or strange happens.
