I would get Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill to help me patrol it. We might not make it safer but it sure as hell will be a FUNNY neighborhood! =)

A buddy system matching up adults or older teens with younger kids - curfew and after school/evening programs are great for some ages as well. Smile

Keep watch 24 7.

I would go to everyone's house and introduce myself as the neighborhood watch person, get to know the person. And so then when if I see someone that I don't recognize I would ask them to hold on a sec and ask them a few question. If they seem suspicious then I will call the police.

Can't wait to see this movie all actors are super funny.

Use cameras, have people look out for each other.

I'd keep the neighborhood safe by buying everyone guns, whistles, flashlights, & do hourly sweeps of the block in a golf cart. On second thought, maybe the guns aren't such a good idea. I'll stick with the whistles & flash lights though =)

Carry a big spotlight.

courtnievargas's picture

I would get a golf cart and roam around the neighborhood with my flashlight and stun gun.

loulou219's picture

I would set an example out of the worst criminal in the neighborhood in front of everyone and make sure this watch team is not to be messed with.

dean4n6's picture

Get the streetlights fixed.

I would hold weekly meeting so we all get to know each other
and get everyone involve in the watch of the neighborhood.

axidtink's picture

I would install a gate with a code to enter the community.

ginny's picture

make sure you have a charged cell phone, the phone # of your closest neighbors, just in case you see something not right, good flash light and attend the neighborhood watch meetings, that way you know who goes walking their dogs and what time, anybody else doesn't belong there, well it depends at what time. take notice of strange vehicles and take tag numbers. but for all that you need to know your neighboehood so go to meetings and go walk your neighborhood on the weekend and introduce yourself.

I would install a gate with a call in system to monitor who enters the community.

lorac_timas25's picture

I would have frequent neighbourhood events and weekly meetings so that the neighbours could all get to know each other and become familiar faces.
