My grandfather's family came during the irish emmigration to build trains. They went from poverty to owning a few businesses and making a name for themselves.

I'm most proud of the fact that many members of my family started out with very little, but through determination they made a very nice life for themselves.

My grandmother came from Canada to the United States when she was 16. She met my grandfather and started our family. She went through the Great Depression with 5 young children. If it weren't for her strength and tenacity, I would not be here today. I'm very proud of her for being adventurous enough to want to better herself and start our family in this great country we call The United States.

It took on different forms through different generations, but hard work and unwavering loyalty were always the foundations of my family, thoroughly embedded in each of us and ready to be passed to the next generation.

Im proud of my mothers side heritage, her dad comes from the Puertorrican Indians, something thats almost gone, since most of them had died, and their traits were something unique. Its amazing seeing the specific traits and how much different his culture and habit to do things are from ours. Also his stories were beyond interesting, he used to tellbus stories from his parents and grandparents.
