I'm very proud that my great-grandfather was able to come to this country on his own, and form his own business that would lead future generations to succeed.
I am proud that I'm irish. Irish people have the coolest accents, can drink the most and are apparently impervious to psychoanalysis.
I am proud to part of a family that came through hard times living in success.
When my great-great uncle came from England - he was written a letter by the king thanking him for the service and requesting his return. I'm proud that his life was so profound that his absence warranted that kind of request.
That my Dad served in WWII
I am proud to come from a line of soldiers (military) and survivors (cancer).

It's hard to zone in on one thing, but I'm most proud of my great-grandfather who was a sharecropper for 18 years before buying his plot of land.
Just proud that my family came into existence...thanks to our great creator. Lots of hard times as well as good times together!

Proud to be an American muslim living the life.
My great grandparents were pioneers. They started a lumber mill in the wilderness. They relied upon themselves, not relying on a job with a corporation like we do today.
I am proud to have a very diversive and close-knit family that can always be depended on. Grew up near Boston, so I'm definitely "BORN INTO IT"
I am proud to have two very different backgrounds; one dating back to the pilgrims as well as Chinese immigrants of the US during the 1800s.
Proud because they lived so I can too!

That my Grandfather came here legally through Ellis Island and worked hard to build a life for himself and his family
That my father was brave enough to follow my Mom from Ireland to Chicago when her family moved "across the pond." He was a farm boy who had never even been to Dublin, and he traveled alone by ship to NYC and then on by train to Chicago to track her down and marry here.
I'm proud of the sacrifices that my grandparents made during the depression. There some tough choices to be made, but they got through it. As I get older I become more and more aware of what my own parents did and sacrificed for my brothers and I, it's truly humbling.
That I'm a descendant of a great woman, we are of multiple races and everyone loves one another...
