I believe that Batman is the greatest literary character of our time. He is the overly-prepared perfect boy scout gone wrong. Always 73 steps ahead, can psychologically twist anyone into a pretzel and still has too many faults to count and is doomed to forever be alone. And without his enemies and all of those who would dare oppose him, he truly has no identity. That is the miserable blessing and wonderful curse of being Batman. He is our modern day Hamlet.
I am a Batman fan because I love the idea of an awesome superhero with no actual super powers.

I've been a Batman fan as far as i can remember and I still think Michael Keaton is the best one.
I have loved the batman series since Michael Keaton was batman.. Its so exciting.. I even used to watch the old shows with Adam West.. Cant wait to see this movie!!! Hope I get passes!!!

Because I loved reading the comics as a kid, never missed an episode of Batman: The Animated Series, and love The Dark Knight!
I've loved Batman since I was a kid and Batman Returns came out. I wssn't old enough to understand the characters ideals, but I grew to appreciate them over time I as grew up with the character. I used to come home from school every day and watch Batman The Animated Series after school and I fondly remember going to theaters for the Schumacher films, despite their reputation in history. When I first saw the images of Heath Ledger as the Joker in The Dark Knight and heard his voice I Nolan's series would be something more. The Dark Knight became my most anticipated film of all time and I thought it could never be topped. Now from what I'm seeing, The Dark Knight Rises looks even better, and the past year has been rough waiting and waiting to find out how The Legend Ends in this version of Batman. I love all incarnations of the character, and I don't compare one over the other. He is infallible and he is forever. He is The Knight.
Batman is relentless. His abilities are based on his own skill and commitment to excellence. He doesn't believe in limitations. Probably the smartest of all superheroes and can psychologically twist both enemies and allies. He has a strategy and plan for every scenario.
Because he is just an average guy who uses his brain to create awesome gadgets that do amazing things!
Frank Miller's pulp take on the character turned me into a Batman fan. He's kind of like the Dirty Harry of superheros, that's what drew me to the books. Christopher Nolan's films borrow a lot from those stories.
The 1960's TV show, the 1980's movies, and the movies by Christopher Nolan are masterpieces of modern popular culture.
Batman is my favorite out of all the DC characters. Tragedy fueled him, but he made himself and is self funded! No extraterrestrial history and no mistaking him with any one else! Makes him the most "human" of all DC super heroes!
Because he's the hero Gotham deserves.

The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of the last 10 years! I need to see the conclusion to this amazing trilogy!
I like how he's just a regular guy with no super powers and decides that he's had enough of the corruption and crime around him. As they mention in the Dark Knight, he is a symbol of hope to those that dont believe it exists. His strength and courage to take on adversity makes him my favorite crime fighter hands down!

I am a Batman fan because of the psychology of the character. Although Batman is cool for being able to go toe to toe with his superpower counterparts, I think his struggles with his demons is what makes him such an enthralling character. Often Batman or Bruce Wayne struggles with what exactly justice is. One example of this is in the comic "A Death in the Family" when Jason Todd (the second Robin) is brutally murdered by the Joker. He had to struggle with the idea of killing Joker in retaliation or following his philosophy of not killing.I think it's easy to kill someone because they have wronged you greatly but to refrain from becoming exactly like them is an even harder task.
Batman also didn't recovered from the death for a long time until he was brought back into the world of crime-fighting by Tim Drake. I feel that this is an example that shows Batman's vulnerability. People tend to go "Batman can take on anyone even though he's just a mere man." However although his badassness is awesome, his faults is what makes him human and easy to relate to.
Finally, Batman isn't his secret identity. It is the very fiber of his being. You could argue that Bruce Wayne is more of secret identity due to his paying hot girls to build his image of a playboy and his pretend drinking of alcohol( it's ginger ale actually) to keep his identity as Batman a secret.
because he is the greatest detective in the world and his human strenght, he doesnt need powers to beat the bad guys. also all the tech he has is unreal.

Batman, is a extrodinary human being. He doesnt have to be bit by a spider or some other real thing. batman does what he thinks is right even though he doesnt have to do anything. the world needs more people like him and thats why I am such a fan!
