Below is a list of movies I've compiled that are to be released this month. Some have impressive casts or big budgets, but most are independent films that struggle for attention.

October 3 - In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of E.T. and release on Blu-ray for the first time on October 9th, the film will be in theaters for one day only at select theaters nationwide for “TCM Presents E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial 30th Anniversary Event."

    When her husband is sentenced to 8 years in prison, Rudy drops out of med school in order to focus on her husband's well being while he's incarcerated - leading her on a journey of self-discovery in the process.

    A meditation on the passing of time, the praxis of photography and film, and the digital versus analog divide.
