This past Friday, April 22nd, we held our ninth weekly Tweet-Along during a showing of the 1993 cult classic movie Dazed and Confused on the Current TV network. (Please click here to learn more about our Tweet-Along feature in the Cinemit Tweet-Along introduction post.)
Much to our delight, Wiley Wiggins (@WileyWiggins), the actor that plays Mitch Kramer in the movie, joined Cinemit and other Dazed fans to Tweet. We are very grateful that Mr. Wiggins decided to join us, as the experience was definitely memorable and exactly what we set out to do when creating our Tweet-Along feature. Apparently, Mr. Wiggins heard about our Tweet-Along after a few blogs/entertainment web sites wrote about the event: A.V. Club Austin (Article 1, Article 2), Austin360.com and Fuse TV.

Actor Wiley Wiggins, then and now
Throughout the movie, he contributed insightful comments and factoids, as well as some of his on-set experiences. Mr. Wiggins also answered several fan questions, Twitpic'd a few times and dispelled several rumors about the movie. Along with a friend, he seemed to partake in the Dazed and Confused Drinking Game (at least through some of the movie) and transitioned to watching the DVD after becoming annoyed (and rightfully so) with some of the censorship during the cable broadcast of the movie. He also shared some funny insight to a few scenes and revealed the nicest celebrity he's ever known.
Below, find some screenshot highlights of just a few of his Tweets (click on each image to link to the actual Tweets):
Thank you to Wiley Wiggins (and everyone else) for joining us for the Tweet-Along!
Also, be sure to join us for this week's Tweet-Along during a showing of The Usual Suspects on the IFC Channel, Thursday, April 28th at 8:05 PM EST. Who knows who will show up or what will happen!
