It must be nerve wracking and heart wrenching to be a 911 operator and to be listening to people through the phone going through an emergency situation and you can’t do anything more than dispatch the appropriate emergency services to their location and hope that they arrive in time to help!

Imagine if you couldn’t even send help their way because they can’t tell you where they are and the phone they are using doesn’t have G.P.S. technology built into it! Imagine you are hearing that person begging and pleading for their life, and all you can do is listen. That’s the situation where Halle Berry finds herself in the movie “THE CALL” with Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut, and Michael Eklund.

Olympus Has Fallen's
Cinemit Movie Profile

I sincerely hope that we never see the graphic images for real that are brilliantly portrayed in the action-thriller movie, Olympus Has Fallen! Gerard Butler gives the best performance of his career in this non-stop action adventure that does the best job I’ve ever seen of delivering awesome action on the screen, but keeps it REAL, so that it is not so over-the-top that you are sitting there thinking, "That could never really happen." like most of the "Mission Impossible" movies or the "Die Hard" movies. Butler plays a secret service agent who is disgraced and demoted after a tragic accident who finds himself on desk duty in the Treasury Department, wishing he could return back to protecting the President and his son.

In a very meticulously planned and executed plot to take over the White House and capture the President along with key cabinet officials, the North Koreans successfully attack the White House just as the President is meeting with the South Korean delegation and are whisked away to an underground bunker beneath the White House where he can take command. For the safety of the Korean delegation, they are rushed along into the bunker with the President and his staff, only to discover after they are safely secured behind the locked vault doors that members of the Korean delegation are not South Korean but North Korean who quickly subdue all security and begin to execute their plan to steal the nuclear codes for our missiles across the United States.

Oz the Great and Powerful's Cinemit Movie Profile

This is the first movie I've seen this year that deserves my 4 BUCKET rating as the first MUST SEE MOVIE of 2013! Sam Raimi has done an amazing job of breathing life into the classic "Wizard of Oz" storyline with this prequel that tells the story of how "Oz", the great and powerful wizard we all came to know and love as played by Frank Morgan in Frank L. Baum's story traveled from being in a circus on the plains of Kansas all of the way to The Land of Oz. James Franco is a young charlatan magician, Oscar Diggs, with a traveling circus in a black & white dustbowl Kansas when he has to make a hasty escape after flirting with another performer's girlfriend.

So he jumps in the balloon used to take people up for balloon rides, and makes good his escape, without noticing in his haste that a severe storm is bearing down on the small circus, not unlike the storm that whisked Dorothy away in the original story. Suddenly Mr. Diggs turns to see a Kansas twister which promptly grabs the hot air balloon and begins whipping it around and around inside the tornado funnel. He is thrown into the bottom of the balloon basket begging for the chance to change his life and do something meaningful and good with it, and suddenly things have calmed down and he rises to peek out and see where he is, and just as in the original, suddenly the movie is in beautiful widescreen brilliant color and the wizard has arrived in OZ!

Nicholas Hoult is in his second movie of the year following the recent hit Warm Bodies with the first action-adventure movie of the year, Jack The Giant Slayer! With his supporting cast which includes: Ewan McGregor, in the best role I've seen him perform since Star Wars; Stanley Tucci, (with a full head of hair, he's hard to recognize!) as the evil, power hungry Lord Roderick, the intended fiance of the Princess; Ian McShane as the King and doting father of the Princess (nice to see him playing a nice guy instead of the nasty bad guy for a change!), the story of Jack and his magic beans is, of course predictable, since we all know how the original story goes, but has been spiced up to make it more interesting to a new generation.

Starting out with a young Jack and young princess each being told their bedtime stories by their parents, the back-story is established how the Giants had come down from Giantland once before using magic beans to come down from the clouds and ravage the land of men, developing a taste for their blood, but had been defeated by the King creating a crown using dark magic and the heart of a giant which gives him control over them. He banishes them back to their land in the sky and destroys the beanstalk to keep them there, and when he dies, the crown and a few leftover beans are buried with him to be safely kept forever.

Based on a true story, Snitch is the story of how far a father will go to protect his son after his son gets arrested for doing a favor for a friend by accepting a package from a delivery man to hold it for his friend’s arrival. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays John Matthews, a successful, divorced family man who owns his own construction company and a small fleet of trucks.

Dwayne Johnson is John Matthews, a desperate father willing to do whatever it takes to get his son out of a life in prison.

When he receives the call that his teenage son has been arrested, John Matthews’ life gets turned topsy turvy. This action packed drama was written back in the early 2000′s to highlight a new United States Federal drug law that mandates minimum Federal sentencing guidelines to the courts for all drug trafficking offenders, that allows lesser offenders to reduce their sentences by cooperating with the Federal authorities to bring about the arrest of the major drug lords and cartel leaders.
